Style Guide | Valentines’ Day Looks

Ah, love. Just after the new years’ excitement sets in, February arrives with a day to celebrate all the love in our lives. For the longest time, I used to feel very silly about Valentines’ day, but since past a couple of years I most certainly welcome February with a lot of anticipation. I think the reason is, we do make special plans for this day whether or not we have a valentine. It’s just another excuse to celebrate life with our loved ones. So, instead of planning for that “perfect date night,” it’s important to leave space for some fun, good times and most of all — love. Considering that this is a special day for most women, I decided to compile three different looks for Valentines’ eve. From a romantic date to going out with your BFFs, I chose three very feminine and different looks for whatever you have planned for this day of love. Love at First Sight | First Date

Top: Cotton On | Skirt : Forever 21 | Box Clutch – Thrifted | Wedges – Lifestyle | Earrings – Pantaloons                                                                                            Location – Beach House, Hyderabad I am still not getting over my obsession for midi skirts. For a first date, I chose a black pleated midi skirt of a comfortable length and with side pockets too. It’s feminine, comfortable and effortless. It’s everything and it looks amazing to pull off for a slightly nervous first date. I paired this skirt with a bright cobalt blue top and chunky wedges. My silver box clutch  was a last minute addition to the look and I didn’t regret.     Starry Starry Night | Dinner Date

Dress: Fab Alley | Wedges – Lifestyle | Earrings – Pantaloons                                                                                                                                       Location – CreamStone, Hyderabad   Okay! I have to be honest. This look was an inspiration from my favorite love song “Starry Starry night by Vincent” (Track shared below). This track has a special meaning in my life. For this look, I chose a cute check skater dress with cutouts around your waist. This adorable little gingham print dress had an old school effect and is so romantic for a dinner date. I styled it simple and vintage-like and did not overdo it with accessories.   Flowers of Life | Date with BFFs

Jumpsuit: Max Fashion | Bag : Charles & Keith | Wedges – Lifestyle | Sunglasses – Rayban                                                                                                                Location – Beyond Coffee To get all your best friends together and planning a fun day out with them is my ideal way of celebrating Valentines’ eve. Isn’t it yours too? My third look is best suited for this occasion. Both playful and functional, this floral cullote-jumpsuit is ideal for a brunch with your best friends. Everything about this outfit is so easy and holidayish. This post is also a pleasant welcome to the Spring and which is why I prepared this three looks with the 70s trend, gingham and floral pattern. I hope you have a beautiful Valentines’ Eve. Spread the love!
Memories: Valentine’s Day conjures up this short story of my childhood of simple schooldays when I would spend all day to draw, paint, cut and glue to create big hearts from card papers and give them out to people I truly loved- my parents, my siblings, my friends at school.
