That Look Beauty Box: September Edition

I am recently giving into trying new kind of products in my beauty regime. In my latest beauty purchases, I tried a few products that were completely new to my experience and I thought it was worth writing and sharing about. Beauty products are often known to be extremely superflous and fancy things that women invest a lot of money upon. But choosing the right products that you REALLY need and not falling for every new product range that launches can save a lot of your money and time too. I think there is nothing wrong in trying out something new as long as it is really fixing a skin/beauty issue in your daily beauty regime. And if you are not someone who takes keen interest in makeup and beauty that’s perfectly alright because makeup is not a necessity. I recently splurged on some products from Nykaa and I had an interesting experience trying them out.
BBlunt mini Back To Life Dry Shampoo
To Lazy Girls Like me who sometimes avoid washing hair because of excuses like too cold, running too late and too sleepy, a dry shampoo product is going to be a lot of help. This was my first time trying out the Blunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo. Most of us have an issue with our hair getting oily on the roots on every second or third day of shampooing your hair. There are occasions when we have no time to wash our hair and hate to see our hair look oily and greasy. This is exactly when a dry shampoo comes super handy. It makes your hair looking fresh and voluminous just after a few sprays as if you have just shampooed your hair. This product is no miracle product but a few sprays on the scalp does transform greasy hair into  making it look slightly fresh and bouncy and removes oiliness too.  It also adds a little volume to your hair. I wouldn’t use it on a daily basis but only once or twice a week when I am too lazy to shampoo my hair. This is also my first dry shampoo and I think it’s a great trick product that you can always carry in your bag.
I would recommend you to try the mini bottle (30 ml) first which is priced at Rs  250.

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Makeup Fixing Spray
I have extremely oily skin and my makeup tends to break and budge after 3-4 hours despite of using a primer. Those who suffer from makeup fading throughout the day because of melting in the heat or due to excessive oil in the T-zone, a makeup fixing spray acts like a topcoat to your makeup and sets your makeup in place and makes it last longer. The Makeup Revolution Pro-Fox Makeup Fixing Spray is actually like a face mist that you spray onto your face from arm’s length once your makeup is done. It gives an immediate dewy finish to your face and does a decent job in keeping your makeup intact and fights sweat too. I think you can avoid using primer if you are using this product in case you hate too many layers of makeup on your face. The only thing that puts me off about this product is that it smells of alcohol as soon you spray in into your face but it last just for 10 seconds. If you are new to makeup setting spray, you can give this a try. It is priced at Rs 1000 and the product has a decent longevity in terms of its use.

Nykaa Nude Nail Enamel, Cinnamon Bun

The first time I was drawn to online shopping at was because of their lovely pastel nail enamel collection. I was never so tempted before for trying out a nail color, but Nykaa’s nail paint range got me completely curious. After taking a lot of time to choose one color, I finally picked the Cinnamon Bun Nail Enamel. This is a rice pastel peach color and looks very pretty on my nails. This nail paint stays for 5-6 days easily.

L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Extra Black Gloss
This liquid eyeliner has a felt tip eyeliner and is quite runny to apply. It is a little semi-glossy in finish  and has a nice and easy applicator. However, I am not very happy with the staying power especially with my oily lids. Also, it is not waterproof so it comes off every easily with sweat.

Roots Wotta Brush
The Roots Wotta Brush is literally “What a Brush!” I have tried many hair brushes before but this oval paddle brush is very soft to my thin delicate hair. The bristles of this hairbrush are extremely flexible with soft tips. The bristles are designed with Flexotec technology, which means they bend and flex at very knot to detangle hair without breaking it. Also, the floral print on this hairbrush is so catchy and I can always find it in any mess in my vanity. I can use them on wet hair without fearing hairloss. Trust me, this hairbrush is so soft that I bought a mini brush of the same kind for my two year old niece.

Maybelline Colossal Mascara
Maybelline Colossal range is forever famous for its mascaras. And this particular mascara has never let me down. I have repurchased this about 4 times already and I think it makes for a great everyday wear mascara which gives decently dense volume to the lashes. It makes your eye lashes look real with a little volume and opens up your eyes in a nice way. One swipe of the mascara is good enough for  everyday wear unless you want extra volume. The bright yellow packaging makes it easy to be found easily in your makeup stack. The consistency is not very thick and neither very watery, so it doesn’t clump in your lashes.
