MY 5 Favorite Midi Skirt Styles

midi1 My first midi skirt was this black flare skirt that I bought after a lot of thinking. Since, I was not very sure of this trend, I I wanted to go safe by picking a basic black midi skirt like this. So, if you are a first timer in midi skirts, try a solid color skirt. I paired this midi skirt with a simple mustard tank top. Quick tip: mustard yellow goes great with black. What I Wore: Skirt: Fab Alley. Get it here Tank top: Lifestyle 2. PLEATED midicollage A pleated midi skirt is slightly formal and feminine at the same time. This skirt is super versatile and can be styled differently for various occasions. I styled this skirt in two ways. One in which I am pairing a knotted crop shirt and the other in a sleeveless top. If showing a little skin with a crop top isn’t quite your speed, then the formula for you is to pair a fitting top tucked-in with your skirt. What I Wore: Crop shirt: Vero Moda. Get it here 3. PRINTED collage2   Floral prints were very popular in midi skirts this whole year. However, I was actively scouting for my favorite print which is the kalamkari print. So, going by the print of my liking, I picked this kalamkari printed skirt (a rare pick) that I wore with a basic black top. So, if solid color midi skirts are boring for you, you can pick a suitable printed skirt with prints like floral, polka, checks etc. What I Wore: Skirt: Fab India Crop Top: Fab Alley   4. FITTED IMG_0449 Trust me, midi skirts don’t always have to be fully and pouffy. You can go for fitted midi skirts with a pencil fit. In this look, I am wearing a pencil midi skirt with a peach top and strappy heels for a slightly formal look. 5. TULLE IMG_5196 If you want to get slightly superflous and ultra-feminine, then the tulle skirts are for you. Tulle skirts, also known as tutu are the perfect balance between fun and feminine. You can make the outfit look and feel classy by pairing the skirt with a long sleeved shirt and some classic heels.
